REMINDER
Hearing today @ 1 p.m. on LD 1790, 'An Act to Secure Maine’s Transportation Future'

Please show your support: Today at 1 p.m., the Transportation Committee will hear LD 1790, “An Act to Secure Maine’s Transportation Future.” Please come to Room 126 of the State House to show your support. To read the text of the bill, click on: LD 1790
 
Also, the House and Senate enacted the bond package Wednesday night. Only six legislators (all in the House) voted against it. There will be two public votes on the transportation bond: $113 Million in June 2007 and $23 million in June 2008. Click here for a description of the bond components and which pieces will go out in 2007 versus 2008.

The MBTA is hosting a breakfast next Wednesday, April 11, 8 a.m. at the State House Cafeteria to discuss the Highway Fund crisis and MBTA legislation, LD 1790, "An Act to Secure Maine’s Transportation Future." 
 
We are anxious to get as many legislators there as possible to hear John Melrose’s presentation on behalf of MBTA. Therefore, it is open to anybody who invites their local legislators to attend with them.
