Tomorrow is Election Day!
Please remember to vote!
Question #1 on tomorrow’s ballot is the transportation bond that will generate more than $360 million for transportation projects including:
  • highways and bridges
  • airports
  • marine
  • rail
  • trails
  • transit
We need your vote! Turnout is expected to be very low, possibly as low as 10 percent, so it is critical that those who support the bond go to the polls. Typically, those who are opposed are particularly motivated to vote no in elections like this – so  every YES vote counts.
 
The MaineDOT has cut $200 million in projects from their capital work plan in the last two years. If this bond fails, they will have to cut many more! 
 

Please urge your friends, co-workers and family to vote.
Many people have been reminding employees, co-workers and others that tomorrow is Election Day. Please remember that anybody can register to vote on Election Day, so even those who aren’t currently registered to vote can weigh on tomorrow’s ballot.

The MBTA Washington County meeting is this Thursday, June 14th, at the Eastport Chowder House. Join us for a reception at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., and a speaker from the New Brunswick DOT at 7 p.m.
