Don’t forget to vote today
|
Good
morning! This is one last reminder for you to let your opinions be
known . . . Please be sure to vote today!
Question 1 –
the $112.9 million transportation bond – is very important to
Maine’s economy and the safety of our citizens. If it passes, it
will generate $360 million (including matching funds) for
transportation projects – highways and bridges, airports, marine,
rail, trails and transit. This is money that will create jobs,
stimulate our economy and make our highways and bridges
safer.
Voter turnout is expected to be low, so passage of
the bond could be in jeopardy if supporters take this for
granted. During the past two years, MaineDOT has had to cut $200
million from its capital work plan. Many more vital projects will
have to be cut if this bond does not pass!
Please
encourage your co-workers and employees to vote today. If you
need more information about the bond, please click on www.keepmainemoving.org or call MBTA,
622-0526.
Your support is very important! Thank you for
making your opinion
heard!
